Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our Human Resources team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

 

In this role, you will provide professional HR advice and support to managers and employees across the organisation. You will play a key role in implementing HR policies, managing employee relations issues, and supporting strategic HR initiatives that contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture.

 

  • Provide accurate and timely HR advice to managers and employees on a wide range of HR issues, including employee relations, absence management, performance, and disciplinary matters.

  • Support and guide line managers through formal HR processes such as investigations, disciplinary hearings, grievances, and capability procedures.

  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies and compliance with employment legislation and best practices.

  • Assist with talent management activities, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development.

  • Analyse HR data and trends to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.

  • Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to building a positive workplace culture.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in line with GDPR and data protection requirements.

  • Participate in or lead HR-related projects as required. 

  • Support the recruitment and induction of new employees into the site/business segment.

  • Develop working relationships with the management team in assigned site/business segment.

  • Support the payroll preparation for site/business segment.

Qualifications

Essential

 

  • Experience of delivering HR service in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of managing employee relations cases.
  • Good understanding of employment law.
  • Initiative and judgement to resolve problems independently.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem solving capability.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, clarifying requirements, responding to colleagues and customers.
  • Effective numeracy and IT skills.
  • Effective planning, organising and prioritising skills.
  • Ability to supervise staff, where appropriate.
  • Ability to plan or schedule work days and weeks ahead, and to respond to changing pressures or requirements.
