Responsibilities

Partner the management teams in assigned business segment/cluster sites to support the production of forecasts and management accounts and the annualised budget process alongside supporting the development of the wider Berry Flexibles strategic plan. 

 

 

  • The collection, processing, and provision of financial information for assigned segment/cluster sites.

 

  • Ensuring financial information is available in a timely manner for the management of both the site, cluster and Berry Flexibles.

 

  • Design and/or deliver a variety of improvements to maximise service quality, efficiency and continuity.

 

  • Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of requested data of the actual performance and forecast of the site(s) to management, the financial reporting team and Berry Group on a timely and accurate basis.

 

  • Annualised budget preparation, presentation and submission to EMD.

 

  • Monthly management accounts preparation, review, commentary and action plan.

 

  • Customer profitability assessment and decision on credit limits or support analysis for onward escalation for authorisation via SharePoint system.

 

  • Capex proposal preparation, capital project tracking with spend and close out of projects.

 

  • Support Management Teams for financial analysis requirements.

 

  • Maintain costing systems, review and advise areas for improvement as a result of analysing the relevant data.

 

  • EMD monthly and quarterly reporting requirements and presentations.

 

  • Delivery of weekly and monthly reports, KPI’s and information to Business Units and within the FR team.

 

  • Liaise with internal and external auditors and manage their requests.

 

  • Prepare plastics packaging tax reconciliation and return.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent and must be professionally qualified ACA/ACCA/ACMA.
  • Significant experience within finance environment with exposure to commercial transactions and operations.
  • Experience of working in a high paced company environment.
  • Customer focussed, always keeping the needs and requirements of key stakeholders at the forefront of all activities.
  • Proactive and solution focused.
  • Ability to prioritise duties while maintaining flexibility.
  • Strong organisation skills with structured and systematic approach to delivering solutions.
  • Good communication skills including ability to identification of areas that require escalation.
  • Delivery of results during periods of change.
  • Excellent IT skills (ERP systems and Microsoft Office).
  • Positive impact to the business through added value activities.
